The Playmat
TableCommander uses a virtual playmat for gameplay.

Layout Overview
The playmat is divided into player zones:
Your Zone (Bottom)
Directly in front of you:
- Hand - Your cards (hidden from others)
- Battlefield - Your permanents
- Graveyard - Discard pile (click to view)
- Exile - Exiled cards (click to view)
- Library - Draw pile
- Command Zone - Commander (if applicable)
Opponent Zones
Arranged around the table (2-6 player view):
- Same zones as yours
- Their hands are face-down
- You see their public zones (battlefield, graveyard, exile)
Camera Controls
Navigate the playmat:

Zones Explained
Hand
Your private cards. Other players see the card backs.
- Cards spread horizontally
- Hover to enlarge
- Drag to battlefield to play
Battlefield
Where permanents live.
- Arrange cards freely (drag to reposition)
- Tap by clicking or dragging sideways
- Cards have collision - they won't overlap
Library
Your draw pile.
- Click to draw
- Right-click for options (scry, search)
- Card count displayed
Graveyard
Discard pile. Public information.
- Click to open and browse
- Cards can be dragged out (for reanimation effects)
- Shows count on the pile
Exile
Exiled cards. Also public.
- Similar to graveyard browser
- Can distinguish face-down exile if applicable
Command Zone
For Commander format:
- Commanders start here
- Track commander tax
- Click to cast from command zone
Visual Features
Card States
Cards visually show their state:
- Tapped - Rotated 90 degrees
- Face-down - Shows card back (morphs, manifests)
- Highlighted - Glowing border when selected
- Counters - Displayed as badges on the card
Attachments
Auras and Equipment visually attach:
- Auras slightly overlap enchanted permanent
- Equipment shows equipped status
- Dragging equipment to creature equips it
Tips
Organize Your Board: Keep lands at the back, creatures at the front. It helps opponents (and you) see the game state clearly.
Double-Click to View: Double-click any card to see a large, readable version with full oracle text.
