Deck Builder

Build and edit decks with the visual deck builder.

Opening the Builder

To edit an existing deck:

1. Go to My Decks
2. Click on a deck
3. Click Edit

To create a new deck:

1. Go to My Decks
2. Click New Deck

Interface Layout

Searching for Cards

Use the search bar to find cards by name, text, or type. You can also use the standalone card search page.

• Name - Partial matches work ("bolt" finds "Lightning Bolt")
• Text - Search oracle text ("draw a card")
• Type - "creature", "instant", "artifact"

Advanced Filters

Click the filter icon to narrow results:

• Colors - Filter by mana color(s)
• CMC - Converted mana cost range
• Type - Creature, Instant, Sorcery, etc.
• Rarity - Common through Mythic

Adding Cards

Click to Add

Click any card in search results to add one copy to your deck.

Drag and Drop

Drag cards from search results to specific sections of your deck.

Quick Add

Type a quantity before searching:

1. Type 4 in the search bar
2. Search for "Lightning Bolt"
3. Click the card - adds 4 copies

Managing Quantities

In your deck list:

• + / - buttons adjust quantity
• Click the count to type a specific number
• 0 or clicking remove deletes the card

Setting a Commander

For Commander format decks:

1. Find your commander card
2. Drag it to the Commander Zone at the top
3. Partners can both go in the commander zone

Deck Validation

The builder warns you about:

• Wrong color identity - Cards outside commander colors
• Too many copies - More than 1 of a legendary (singleton formats)
• Deck size - Under or over format requirements

Warnings appear as icons next to problem cards.

Saving Your Deck

Changes save automatically as you edit.

You can also:

• Rename - Click the deck name to edit
• Set Privacy - Choose private, friends, or public
• Add to Folder - Organize with your other decks
