Cards on the Table

First edition of what we're calling Cards on the Table — roughly monthly updates from the TC team. What we've been working on, where things stand, what's coming up.

Two Months Old

We launched in January 2026 with a working prototype and zero users. No ads, no big launch — just put it out there and started talking to people.

Right now we're sitting at 1,355 users, 4,374 decks, and nearly 4,000 tables created. The growth has been organic and honestly a bit surprising. People find us, try a game, and stick around. A lot of them bring friends.

The best part has been the conversations. We hear the same thing over and over — "this is what I've been looking for." Hard to beat that.

Recent Stuff

Quick rundown of what's shipped lately:

  • Companion App — Manage decks and join games from your phone. On Google Play now, iOS waiting on Apple.
  • Deck Builder — Card search, sideboards, Moxfield import. Works on web and mobile.
  • Deck Folders — Keep your decks organised. Supporter perk.
  • Practice Mode — Test decks in real games without touching your stats.
  • Table Lobby Refresh — Format colours, deck art backgrounds, player avatars. Looks way better now.
  • Match Integrity — Automated checks flagging suspicious patterns. Keeps ranked honest.
  • Badges — Milestone badges with Discord role sync.

Plus a ton of smaller stuff — bug fixes, performance work, UI polish. It hasn't slowed down.

Coming Up

iOS — Submitted and in Apple's queue. Once it's approved we'll be on both platforms.

Merch — Looking at doing a first run of custom playmats. Nothing confirmed yet but we're working on designs.

Back Us

Running TableCommander isn't free. Servers, database, Redis, CDN, app store fees — it adds up, and right now we're covering all of that out of pocket. We're nowhere near breaking even. We're not going anywhere, but supporter contributions genuinely help keep this thing alive and let us put more time into it.

If you want to help out (and grab perks like deck folders along the way), check out our Patreon.

Cheers for playing.
